Start comparing bids.
Post your project once. Licensed contractors compete with bids for the same work.
Two ways to start
We use only the scope to build your project brief. Bidders never see the price or your contractor.
- No sales visits
- No cost to post
- Private until you choose
Or pick a project type
PDF, photo, or screenshot.
Here's how it works
Spoiler: it's three steps, and none of them is a phone call.
1. Show us your project.
Upload a quote you already have, or walk it once on video with a few photos. About the effort of one text thread.
2. Compare real bids.
Review price, scope, materials, timing, and warranty side by side, without a single sales appointment.
3. Choose who to hire.
Your name and street address stay private until you select a contractor. Or pass on all of them. Nothing owed.
We're not a contractor. We're a better way to choose one.
Nestimates brings screened, licensed contractors to one project post so you can compare their bids side by side. Because the best hiring decisions happen when you have real options and nobody in your living room.
Comparing 3 bids
| Old way | Nestimates | |
|---|---|---|
| Researching, calling, and scheduling | ~1.5 hrs | 0 |
| Hours hosting walkthroughs | ~6 hrs | 15 min |
| Times you explain the project | 3 | 1 |
| Sales pitches in your home | 3 | 0 |
| Strangers in your private space | 3 | 0 |
The smarter way to compare bids
Three numbers mean nothing until they price the same job.
Call three companies and you get three versions of your project, described three different ways, priced on three sets of guesses. The numbers were never comparable to begin with.
On Nestimates, every contractor bids from the same project post with the same scope and the same stated assumptions. When the bids arrive, the differences finally mean something.
Started from a quote? It sits right beside the bids, visible only to you.
Illustrative sample. Your bids depend on your project. Each bid states its assumptions, so you can see exactly what every number covers.
What Phoenix homeowners say
From homeowners across the Valley, in their own words.
I got a roof quote from a company in the valley but I did not feel comfortable going with them after being pressured to make a decision on the stop. The sales person dropped the price twice from $15,800 to $14,000 and then to $13,500. The…

Most platforms are built for contractors. This one wasn't.

Screened before they can bid
License checks. Insurance confirmation. Every contractor is screened when they join, not taken on their word.
Your information stays yours
Contractors bid without your name, address, or phone number. It is shared with the one company you choose.
Bids price the project, not your profile
Contractors bid from your project details first, not your neighborhood or your home's value.
No one in your living room
Bids arrive in writing. Read them on your own time, sleep on them, and answer to no one.
The other side of the table
Are you a licensed contractor?
- Bid requests, not leads. A defined scope with photos, video, and stated assumptions.
- No lead fees and no monthly commitment. You pay Nestimates when you get paid.
- Bid from your truck, not their kitchen. Pass on anything that doesn't fit.
These aren't leads.
They're bid requests.
What homeowners ask before they submit
Can a contractor really bid without seeing my home?
Your post gives them what a walkthrough would: photos, video, and answers to the questions that move a price. Every bid states its assumptions in writing, so you can see exactly what each number covers before you compare.
What happens to the quote I upload?
It is used to build your project brief, and only you and Nestimates support can see it. Bidding contractors do not receive the document, the contractor's name, or the price. They price the scope, independently.
Can I still choose my original contractor?
Yes. If the bids make you more confident in the quote you already have, close the project and go with them. Nothing owed, nothing to cancel.
Who are the contractors?
Licensed, insured companies screened before they can bid on anything. License and insurance are checked when they join.
When does a contractor see my contact information?
When you choose them. Contractors bid from your project details. Your name, address, and phone number are shared with one company, the one you hire.
What does this cost me?
Nothing to post and nothing to compare. Nestimates is paid by the contractor who wins your job, and that fee is disclosed to them before they bid. Your phone number is not the product.
Am I obligated to hire anyone?
No. Compare the bids and hire the contractor you want, or pass on all of them.
