What this program is
Nestimates is an Arizona home-improvement marketplace. Homeowners post projects and licensed contractors bid on them. If you choose to, we can text you when something happens on your project or your bid — a bid arrives, a bid is accepted, a payment is due, a contract is ready to sign — and, if you are a contractor, when a job matching your trade is posted near you. These are notifications about your account and your work on Nestimates. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
How you opt in
Text messages are optional. You opt in by ticking a checkbox on the final step of registration at nestimates.com/register. The box is unchecked by default and you must tick it yourself. Your account is created whether or not you do.
If you already have an account, you can turn text messages on at any time on the Text alerts page, from your profile or from an email we send inviting you to. You enter your mobile number and tick the same unchecked-by-default checkbox, with the same wording shown below, directly beneath it. We then text you a one-time code to confirm the number is yours. Nothing is turned on until you enter that code, and once you have, we text you a confirmation.

What we send
- A contractor has submitted a bid on your project, or there is news on your bid
- For contractors: a new job matching your trade has been posted near you
- A new message on one of your projects
- A payment is due, or a payment has been received or released
- A contract is ready for signature, or has been signed
- Work has been marked complete and is waiting for your review
- For contractors: a license or insurance document is expiring or has expired, and reminders to finish setting up your profile
